传播学在牛津哪个学院?
Oxford is home to the largest grouping of academics who do research on the subject of communication and media. The University also boasts one of the oldest and most prestigious Departments in this field, dating back to 1924 when it was founded by Professor Harold Laski (1893-1950). Laski’s legacy can be found today in the University's Institute of Communication Studies, which brings together researchers with a wide range of professional and scholarly interests, from social anthropology to neuroscience and psychoanalysis.
The focus at Oxford tends to lie in the broad areas of communication theory, cultural studies, history and analysis of media systems and content. Research is undertaken across many different disciplines, both within and beyond the university, and we have strong links with other universities and institutions as well as with organisations outside academia. A number of our academic staff are members of external bodies(e.g. the BBC Trust, the British Academy) and consult widely for national and international media, NGOs and governments.
